KCHS Forensics - 1A State Champions!

On Saturday, May 1, the Kiowa County High School Forensics team competed in the 1A State Forensics Tournament.  The tournament had a different feel this year, as it was all conducted virtually.  None the less, the KCHS students did an outstanding job.  Their work on Saturday earned them the 1A State Forensics Championship!  Congratulations to all of the students that took part as well as coaches Kim McMurry, Kim Stewart and Jan West.  Results for the students are as follows.

Rylee Ott
- 4th Place in Serious Solo Acting, Rylee also competed in Poetry Interp.
Nathaniel Enfield - 2nd Place in Impromptu Speaking and 6th Place in Informative Speaking
Micah Edris & Atleigh Gumpenberger - Unofficially 7th place in Duet Acting
Allison Kirby - 3rd Place in Original Oration and Unofficially 7th Place in Prose Interp.
Ellery McMurry - State Champion in Original Oration and 5th Place in Poetry Interp.
Jace Merhoff - 6th Place in Informatvie Speaking and 6th Place in Impromptu Speaking
Jaucilyn Arredondo - 3rd Place in Poetry Interp., Jaucilym also competed in Prose Interp.
Kyler Sheldon - 4th Place in Extemperaneous Speaking
Ashton Reh - 2nd Place in Informative Speaking and 4th Place in Poetry Interp.

Kaden Oren - 1 Rating in Informative Speaking
Audrey Reh - 1 Rating in Informative Speaking
Sierra Britton - 1 Rating iin Original Oration
