I just wanted to let you all know that the education I received there helped me throughout my life, and I think of the people of Greensberg as strong and loving. Sincerely, Dianna Perkins Kale |

Jenne Schwinnjenneskw@yahoo.comOlathe, KS | May 07, 2007 | I lived in and went to elementary and middle school in Greensburg from 1982 to 1988. Watching the news and being so far away, not being able to help, and not knowing whether old friends and their families are okay is hard. From the sky views I can tell what buildings were what, and the devastated houses where people i knew lived. I saw the place where my house stood and it's so surreal to know that when I go back in a few weeks to help with the clean up, my memories will still be there, but nothing will be the same in person. I'm not sure how I will react. That seems so selfish, because I didn't lose anything but my friends lost everything. My thoughts are with everyone in the town. |

Nikki Schwerdtfager Lincoln, KSLincoln High School | May 10, 2007 | Coming from a small town the same size as Greensburg it is hard to comprehend that your whole town is destroyed. Everything that you know and love. However, the thing about small towns is that everyone comes together for the same cause and they all reach for the same goal and they always succeed. Our prayers are with all of you, your town, and your school district. This is another chance for a small town to come together for the same cause and succeed. |

delaCruz Family Montgomery CountyFamily in Christ | Sep 29, 2007 | We just wanted to let everyone in Greensburg know that you're in our prayers. We've never experienced the devastating effects of a tornado, but we do understand that it must be terrible. We know that God has a plan for everything, and we pray that He can demonstrate His power and love to everyone there. Sometimes, the Lord's plans are too big for us to understand, but we've got to just keep trusting in Him. He made this world, and He knows what He is doing. May He bless and help you all in this time of healing and recovery. God bless you all! - - - - - - - - - - - - "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 |
