Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Impact Publications Committee is faculty-advised by Lori Wade and Blake Ploger. Their committee's mission is to "record and document important events for KCJH by learning photography and 21st century journalism skills to draw attention to positive things happening at KCJH." In addition to the mission statement that was given to them, they have decided to also include some events for KCHS. This committee was new for the 2015-16 school year and is the only committee to utilize a staff member fully employed by the high school. Mrs. Wade hopes that introducing students to journalism in middle school will spark an interest for kids as they become high school students and she will be able to grow her program. On this page, you will be able to see the Maverick Spotlight, the name they gave their publication. The skills we focus on in junior high are photography skills, caption writing, and interview skills.
