Doggy Treat Bake Sale!!!

Mrs. Prosser's 1st Grade class hosted a Doggy Treat Bake Sale on Monday, April 1.  This is the second year in a row that the 1st Graders have taken on this initiative to benefit the KSDS Assistance Dogs organization.  KSDS provides guide dogs for the visually impaired, service dogs to assist individuals with physical disabilities and facility dogs that assist professionals in the field of education, counseling, healthcare, retirement or the legal system.  Randy Teske and his service dog Marco have become the inspiration for the 1st Grade students.  Mr. Teske has brought Marco to visit Mrs. Prosser's class the last two years.  Mrs. Prosser's decided to bake their own doggy treats and then sell them to the community to help raise funds for the KSDS.  This year, the 1st Graders raised a little over $600 to donate to KSDS.  This has become a very popular event for both the students and the community.  Great job Mrs. Prosser and all of your 1st grade students!
