KCJH Block the Door Food Drive is Coming!
Again this year, the Kiowa County Junior High students will be conducting a Block the Door Holiday Food Drive for the Kiowa County Food Bank. From Monday, December 10 through Tuesday, December 18 students will bring donations of non-perishable food items to try to "block" their classroom doors. If students are able to bring enough donations to "block" their classroom doors, they will have a free day in that class before Christmas Break. Classroom doors that do not get blocked will have class as normal. Last year, the students were able to block all of their doors and have a totally free day. Let's see if they can do it again this year.
In conjunction with the Block the Door Food Drive, the KCJH Impact group will also be accepting non-perishable food items at the Junior High Basketball games on Monday, December 17 versus Pawnee Ashland. A donation of two non-perishable food items will allow an individual to enter the game free of charge. We encourage everyone to bring donations to the game so that they can get in free of charge and help support the Kiowa County Food Bank. The students, staff, and parents of Ashland are also encouraged to take advantage of this offer. Simply bring two non-perishable food items per individual, and enter the games free of charge. We hope to have a good turnout for the game, and a great turnout for the Kiowa County Food Bank.
