KCHS 2016 State Track & Field Information

A large number of Kiowa County High School students qualified to attend the KSHSAA State Track & Field Championships at Wichita State University on May 27 and 28.  The KCHS Girls qualified 15 girls in 13 events, and the KCHS Boys qualified 7 boys in 10 events.  The following list of students will be competing in Wichita over the weekend. 

Events listed with an asterisk (*) after them signify an event that will have preliminaries.  Athletes in these events will have to qualify in order to be able to run in the Finals on Saturday.

GIRLS STATE QUALIFIERS

• 100m Hurdles* (Brecken VandenHoek and Hannah Melton)
• 4x100m Relay* (Alli Hosheit, Janessa Zenger, Brecken VandenHoek, and Morgan Powell)
• 200m Dash* (Hannah Melton)
• 4x400m Relay* (Janessa Zenger, Casey Erickson, Alisyn Davis, and Morgan Powell)
• 3200m Run (Nicole Ballard)
• Triple Jump (Alisyn Davis, Brecken VandenHoek, and Ashlin Oberle)
• Discus (McKenzie Heft and Alex McVey)

• Long Jump (Brooke Oberle and Casey Erickson)
