Developing Leaders with Character

At Kiowa County Elementary School, the character program is the foundation of a leadership program.  Students spend time in PK through 4th grade learning about our core values of treating others right, making smart decisions, and maximizing your potential, which are called the KC Big 3.  They also develop character through a monthly focus on a character trait called the Big Idea.  Together, the KC Big 3 and the Big Ideas are the foundation of a leadership program called Impact, which starts for students in 5th grade.  In Impact, students are given more responsibility and contribute to their school experience by learning to be leaders with character.
