2018 Junior High League Basketball Tournament
All of the League games have been completed, and the brackets for the Junior High League Basketball Tournament have been set. The host for this years Iroquois Division Tournament is Hodgeman County Junior High School. For those of you that may not be familiar with the location of the Hodgeman County Junior High School, the address is 510 Niederacher St., Jetmore, KS.
Unlike the High School League Tournament, the Junior High League Tournament divides the schools in to the Southern Plains Division and the Iroquois Division. The divisions are created based on the population of the schools. The smaller schools play in the Southern Plains Division, and the larger schools play in the Iroquois Division.
The Girls and Boys teams also play on the same days. Games will be played on February 1, February 5, and February 8. All start times for the tournament games are approximate. All games will begin 15:00 after the completion of the previous game. The following admission prices will be used for all games throughout the tournament.
Students (K-12): $3.00
The Kiowa County Junior High Girls enter the tournament as the #1 seed, and the Boys enter the tournament as the #5 seed. As a result of being the #1 seed, the Girls will receive a bye in the first round and play their first game of the tournament on Monday, February 5. The Boys first game will be at 7:45 pm on Thursday, February 1 vs. Hodgeman County. Please refer to the brackets below for all of the start times. Good Luck Junior Mavericks!
