The K-5 students are beginning a new career exploration program called ccSpark.  It is an online game for kids that teaches them about different careers in a make-believe online town.  The premise of the game is that the student is at a detective academy.  The students try to solve a mystery by interviewing people at different locations (jobs) in town.  In the town is a hospital, a pet shop, a farm, a park, a construction site, a home, and a few other places.  At each one of these places, there are one or two missing people and the detective's (student's) job is to interview the people who work there to try to figure out the mystery.  At each location in town, the student learns something about a career that helps them solve the mystery.  In the process, they are being taught a piece of the career counseling standards recommended by the Kansas State Department of Education in a way that is fun and interactive.

Attached are a few photos of what the students see while working through the program.
