On Friday, October 2, KCJH students gathered in the gym after the Greensburg High School football game for a movie. The KCJH IMPACT students hosted a movie party, featuring the movie Bedtime Stories. The movie is about Skeeter Bronson, played by Adam Sandler, who is asked to babysit his niece and nephew while his sister interviews for a job. He tells the children bedtime stories and eventually realizes that they are playing out in his real life. His love interest is played by Kerri Russell, a teacher at the children's school, and as the stories play out, he becomes the hero that keeps their school from being torn down.
There were about 45 students who came to the movie party, which had to start later than planned because of the length of the GHS football game. The Rangers posted a 64-26 win over the Longhorns before show time in the gymnasium.
IMPACT is planning more activities for KCJH. Some will be social, like this movie party, some will be awareness activities, and some will be service activities. Check the web site for information in the coming months.
